Dylan, Rylee, and Disha camp in Nova Scotia and notice the vast differences between the Canadian and Boston Harbor water. Their goal became to restore Boston Harbor waters to a healthy marine ecosystem state.

The trio spent five months learning difficult chemistry topics, meeting with teachers, creating an original procedure, conducting over 70 experiments, building a prototype, and analyzing data.

The trio submit their prototype, the Dawsonite Diver, to the Hopkinton High School inventathon, and win a seat to the MA Invention Convention.

After weeks of practicing, the team presents at the Hopkinton High School fair along with 50 other science fair members.

Winning 1st place at the Hopkinton High School Fair, Rylee, Disha, and Dylan advance with the top ten winners to the Worcester Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

Competing with teams throughout the Worcester region, the trio receives a 2nd place award, and the Stockholm Regional Junior Water Prize, qualifying them for an ISEF playoff.

After winning the ISEF playoff, Rylee, Dylan, and Disha become the first Hopkinton High School team to attend the International Science & Engineering Fair, in person.

The team submited a video, logbook, and prototype descriptions of the Dawsonite Diver to the Invention Convention with 140 teams and won, qualifying them for the National Invention Convention.

The team presented at MIT with the other top performers of MA and won 1st place in all of MA

The team traveled to texas and presented at ISEF. They participated in networking sessions, panel discussions, mixers, and got to know the 19 other MA delagates

After a week of competition, the team won 3rd place in the Earth and Environmental Sciences category at the international science and engineering fair. They became the first team from Hopkinton High School to do so.

After spending over a year on our prototype, called the Dawsonite Diver, the team presented their findings, problems, and solutions to a group of judges while exploring the Henry Ford Museum.

After all of their hard work, the team won the top place in their grade section, meaning their project scored the highest among every other 11th grader present at the competition.

The team won the licensing potential award, giving them 6 months of mentored research to bring their product to the market.

The team won the highest award at the Henry Ford Invention Convention. The team is super grateful for all of the connections and people they were able to meet at this amazing convention!

After being invited to present at MIT for being a first place winner at MSEF/ISEF finalist, the team was selected to be three of ten students invited to represent MA at the 2024 AJAS conference in Colorado

The team was invited to present at the American Association for the Advancement of Science after being inducted into AJAS.
